What’s the deal?
Delicious tapas (the best bunyols in the world), wonderful service with a sea view. It doesn’t get much better than this.
The terrace at Sa Prensa |
Sa Prensa (“The Press” – it’s hanging on the wall) is an attractive, spotlessly maintained, small bar (with simple yet spotless rooms) on the sea front about fifteen minutes walk from Ciutadella city centre and the harbour. The mood is relaxed and comfortable with small tables both inside and on the enclosed patio (which has views right the way across to Majorca on clear days). The bar is frequented by locals mainly – singles, couples, families and friends of all ages – meeting for drinks and for the fantastic food.
Our bill
We ordered tapas – bunyols, calamares, patatas bravas and pan tomate washed down with ice cold Estrella. The bunyols were out of this world!
Total – €22
Cheap as … patatas bravas!
The staff
The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and happy. The service was superb.

Best bits
The setting, staff and food. Oh and did we mention the bunyols?
Bad bits
GustoGuides can resist everything except temptation … er …and bunyols.
The verdict: will we be going back?
We already have.
Twice.
